Over the years I’ve known plenty of dancers who have other jobs. Today after seeing an unpublished review stating bartenders, make the best dancers, I wondered what industries other guys might think make the best dancer?
I’ve known several in real estate. That industry was my first thought. Although maybe second place has been anything cannabis related.

I would think that former waitresses from Tilted Kilt and Twin Peaks Restaurants would be pretty good dancers.
DJGs seem to be a minority among strippers. I haven't noticed any clear pattern as to what the DJ is.
I think just about any job has the potential for making a great dancer. I've come across great dancers who had day jobs as a high school teacher, a nurse, a licensed massage therapist (not to be confused with a rub down girl), yoga instructor, a mathematician, an artist who makes glass figurines (she said that she learned how to blow glass in art school and she assured me that she knows how to blow), a package sorter for UPS and the list goes on and on.
Not sure if it’s a regional thing, but actually I’ve met very few dancers who have another job. Dancing is their full time job. Pardon the pun, but they are grinders. They work 8 or more hours per day, 4 days per week or more. They get up early, take their kids to school, go back to sleep. Between going to gym, tanning and just regular housework, it’s not easy having another job.
I remember one who was a professional photographer. She even gave me her business card once. She used to go to schools and take the kids pictures on picture day. Another I remember was elementary school teacher. I got to know her in the biblical sense once.
Some of the few I can think of that already have not been mentioned:
Office manager/receptionist/secretary
I knew one who taught a few classes at a community college.
I’ve met several teachers turned strippers but none that were teaching school and stripping at the same time.
I’ve heard that story more than once. Fed up teacher moves to big city to bank quick and easy money for a few years stripping, then once enough money is saved up goes back to teaching and hangs the stripper shoes up. Since I’ve heard this scenario more than once not sure if it’s always true or just BS. I knew in one case it was true but I assumed the stripper I knew would strip as long as she could because she liked the money and I was under the impression she liked the lifestyle too much. She also escorted to “high end” clients who flew her around the country.

I've met a bunch of paralegals and law students. As the worst dressed human being on earth, no dancer has ever assumed I am an attorney, so their story works right up to the second question I ask them.
Anyone in the beauty service industry. Hair, tanning, nails, waxing, etc. They understand customer service and female beauty aesthetics
DOGE'ed gov't girls when their night life gig is discovered explaining why they aren't showing up for work. Strip at night for tips, get a legit paycheck w/benefits for the IRS. BADA BING!
Massage therapist. Unfortunately it was a legit place, Hand and Stone Spa (a chain).
There’s plenty of shitty jobs and depressed wages out there that create a pipeline to stripping 👀
But in all seriousness, there has been a wide range of jobs/self employed gigs mentioned whenever dancers have asked about this to each other. And the type of answer from the dancer who consistently works 4x/week vs the dancer who shows up on an “as needed” basis are different. The dancer who is committed to dancing year in and year out out are different than the dancer who quits and returns to the club every so often tend to be different as well.
