Portland Visit

Y'all,

I've got a work trip planned to the Emerald City coming up in a few weeks. The middle of winter wasn't my idea but once 5PM Friday hits I am off the clock and can hit up the town. I plan on hitting up clubs that night after dinner with a friend possibly both day and night on Saturday.

I know there a ton of reviews but if I just want the best talent is my go to something like Union Jacks, Casa or Spyce? Should I even bother checking out smaller or famous clubs like Mary's or Old Dolphin or is it not worth it? Some of their lineups seem decent but I don't want to miss since I don't have that much time. Don't care if it's a dive bar or posh club just looking for decent dances from a hot dancer.

Mary's is a terrible strip club experience, but an OK bar experience. Dances there are insanely poor values.

If you have a car, you might want to add Gold Club to your list for Saturday daytime.

Should I get a car? I don't really want too but a lot of the clubs are spread out.
Downtown clubs tend to be more expensive and offer lower mileage. A car would get you access to better & cheaper clubs. But you can still have fun in downtown. A short Uber to Union Jacks and Sassy.

And "Emerald City" is Seattle's nickname. So step one, get your geography right. Double check plane reservations; you don't want to go to Maine this time of year.

You don't really need a car. Because it has no cover and lyfts are cheap, I'd prioritize Casa Diablo. If you don't like the dream of the 90's look there then head downtown for a more traditional club experience or further east as per Art College's excellent advice.

Nixur yeah man there's a fuck ton. I recently just did one more swing though, pretty much hit all of portland pretty recently, got a good feel for the city. Usually there's no cover, why not just club hop till you find something good. Two nights is nothing, I would personally get a car but that's just me.

There's a lot of good looking dancers in that town, pound for pound at least, I mean maybe the best city considering the population size. You gotta be good with tattoos though. But dances are expensive in this town, $40 is basically the norm.

I think the better talent lineups from my recall

Both Rouges Bridgeport and Downtown
Stars Bridgeport
Sunrise
Spyce (but cramped and ghetto)
Golden Dragon (late night spot)
Kit Kat
Club 205
Devil's Point
Lucky Devil
Casa Diablo (very unique place)
Union Jack's
Sassy's
Cabaret II (more cuban leaning but good)
Acropolis (closes early though)

I would pop in, have a looksee, maybe chat and see what mileage is like, see something you like, if not leave and right to the next one.

There’s no cover? Really? That’s very… unique
