I remember one long form article in either the times or the post, that went into how the Trump & his org strong armed a small business owner who ran a piano store in NJ in the 1980s. Trump needed tons of pianos for the new Trump Plaza and Casino he was building in Atlantic City.
IIRC, they had already signed a contract, which was just slightly profitable for the business owner. However had to take out loan to cover the up front cost of acquiring all these pianos.
Then, once he'd delivered and tuned them all, Trump's lawyers brought him aside and told him they need an additional 20% discount, which made the entire deal a loss for the owner. He had no choice to accept it though, he had the loan to pay back and didn't have the funds or the time to fight the Trump org's army of attorneys in court. He ended up going bankrupt a few years later.
Of course, stories like these abound. We could spend the next week talking about all the times Trump has defrauded someone, including half the American electorate. He's the best con man in modern history.
