Yep, all the time! Usually as an alternative to "would you like some company?"
I'm okay with a girl asking me if I'm waiting for someone, but if I answer "yes", I'm less thrilled if the girl then proceeds to demand to know WHO I'm waiting on!
@drewcareypnw: The dancers at the clubs know that I look for certain types of dancers and I am a very picky customer. I am a big mileage hound tbh lol.
@ClubFan81077: I am personally good at navigating the dancers that are asking those questions. I wait for dancers who have this "UHM Vibe" to them usually. You approach me with a sensual vibe and sit next to me, then I will definitely get you a dance!
Dancers ask me "are you waiting for someone" all the time. They ask it because it serves several purposes. It serves as an ice breaker, it's a compliment since it implies I'm a good customer who will spend money and it protects their ego because they won't experience a direct rejection, but rather a missed opportunity should I answer in the affirmative.
And if they are dumb enough to ask who I'm waiting for I simply say I'm not good with names. I'll recognize her when I see her, thank you.
It's a way for the girl to determine if you are there to see a regular of yours, in order to not waste her time, and even moreso, to avoid conflict with your regular girl, who may confront her for attempting to steal her regular.
I carry two cell phones- business and personal. A stripper once told me that dancers pass me up because they see two phones on my table and think someone is already with me. Now I always leave one in the car.
Often it's by girls who have seen me spending time with specific girls and its a genuine question. They just don't want to waste my time or theirs, nor do they want to steal a customer from a girl either out of respect or fear.
Other times I think its just a way to avoid rejection, similar to how many guys use the "I'm waiting for someone" excuse when they aren't interested. They're queuing it up so I can just say yes instead of saying no thanks, I'm not interested in you. It's easier on them emotionally/mentally. Some probably do it more to save time than avoid rejection.
^^ you're projecting again. This happens to demented old dicks like you. If you're sundowning this early, it won't be long before you just sit drooling by the window
I also often carry two phones. I've had a few girls say that to me. I've also had a few say they thought two phones because I was a drug dealer or pimp and they avoided me for that.
I don't leave my phone in the car as a result though. I don't think I'm missing out on much, I think that if a girl is close enough to see two phones she's also close enough for me to engage with. I find that smiling and saying hello sweetie or something is usually enough to get her to engage back. If the phones are a concern, they'll usually ask and it's no trouble to tell them it's for work.
I did have one occasion where a dancer thinking the 2nd phone was another dancers led to a little drama. I had my personal phone in my hand and was texting someone, when I got a message on my work phone. A dancer saw me set my phone down and grab the work phone off the bar and start looking at it. She thought I was snooping though the girls phone and tried to snatch it from me. I was a little quicker than her, so she failed. But it led to a bit of a ruckus with me clearly confused from a stripper seemingly randomly attacking me and the bartender nearly pissing herself laughing as she understood what the girl was saying and I didn't. That's happened once in all my visits with two phones, so I pretty much chalk it up to a freak occurrence and haven't modified my behavior to avoid it.
@funonthaside: The key issue is that in order for dancers to be as competitive as possible, they need to really sensual when they are approaching their customers. I like the dancers that they set on your lap, and rub your leg with their hand (eventually slightly giving you an HJ here and there). I can easily tell I will get something extra even in the lap area lmao.
Basedtex i have had some girls who did the OTP HJ offer the same thing in the lap dance, nothing extra.
This stealing customer stuff is untrue. A dancer isnt stealing you from another dancer just because she offers you dances and you accept. Theres nothing morally or otherwise wrong with a dancer offering you dances even if she knows you have purchased dances from another girl or are a regular of someone.
^^^ Ask a girl that question, and she will see things a bit differently....not saying it's right...just that some girls view PLs are their property....I don't tolerate it, and set them free once they unreasonably attempt to lay a claim to me, but there are plenty of girls who don't fuck with guys they know are a regular of another girl. Of course, there are also girls who go after money, regardless of whether a PL is someone's regular.
It becomes a cost-benefit consideration of whether you want to cause friction with your regular girl....and that's case-dependent. Remember that being a girl's regular comes with a set of benefits that you may not want to forego. And, a smart girl knows that she can only lay claim to you in cases where she offers value not available from others.
