This topic came up a few weeks ago. You may want to read that thread. In summary, nearly all hotels will accept cash. You just need to be prepared to pay a cash security deposit of $100+, which will be returned upon checkout. You can also use a prepaid credit card that can be purchased most places that gift cards are sold. Just activate the card before you need it, and note that some cards cannot be activated until 24 hours after purchase.
