Loved Fawlty Towers. It's sort of amazing that 12 episodes of a mid 1970s BBC comedy picked up such a long-term, cult following.

I'll watch the new series by Cleese, but warily. Reboots like this are almost never as good as the original, but I'll be okay with "good enough."

A lot of fawlty towers involved over-the-top comedy that won’t be allowed. This could be very disappointing.

Regarding "comedy that won't be allowed." That is Cleese's mission: to fight against the cancelling of such comedy and speech in general.
