I know many of the Detroit clubs have $10 specials on Tues and Mon, but do any do Wednesday? Will be in town next week Wed - Fri and am curious as to best places to start.

Not really. However, the Traffic Light is always $10/dance. Also, I think Chix on Dix is $10/dance on weekdays but you might have to call to verify.
