high license fees -> pimped newb dancers?

It's been mentioned in posts that, in order to dance in some places, you need a license that costs hundreds of dollars. Does that lead to cases where newb strippers get into a bad situation cause they need to be "sponsored" by some creepy dude?

It can. But most licenses are pretty cheap.

In the clubs I go to, it leads low-earning dancers to switch to another club.

I'm just skeptical young women who make the decision to try stripping are likely to have a few spare benjamins lying around.

They usually start because they don't have money and it's the fastest legal option to make some.
