The Twenty-first Amendment was fully ratified on December 5, 1933. It is the only Amendment thus far ratified by state conventions, ratified for the express purpose of overturning the 18th amendment...prohibition. The people can still rule over their "betters".

I'll drink to that!
And in an ironic twist, Utah was the state that put it over the top.
But think of it, if it hadn't been for Prohibition and the resulting bootlegging activity, we never would have had the Kennedy family.
Nor would Elliott Ness had been so famous!
Nor would we have NASCAR.
