Sounds like another "upscale" club gimmick. Seems like, the more "upscale" a club is trying to be, the more it has customers who aren't interested in being any dancer's regular. So dancers' hustle isn't based on getting regulars. They don't care if you're disappointed as long as they got your $.
I can only go by word of mouth and reviews about this place so here's what I imagine.
So on a good night:
you go in, make your bet, wait for the results drinking overpriced drinks and maybe some conservative dances, pick up your winnings and blow it all on limited VIP session(s) where the dancer will subsequently run off to the next celebrating winner
On a bad night:
omit the winnings and VIP session(s)
Meh, I'll take a pass
Upscale just means they rip the dancers off with high house fees and make them hustle drinks and tables. And price gouge customers. It doesn't mean there's anything upscale about the place.
