So I'm watching this show on TV right now and there's this story that features a strip club called Delilah's Den near Philly. And they're saying this one guy spent $3,000 a week or $12,000 a month at that club. Wow!

I've learned not to trust too much what mainstream TV features on "Strip Clubs." They always sensationalize it, finding extreme examples and sometimes out-and-out fabricating stories about how lurid it all is. Of course, their goal is to sell ads/commercials, so the more they can whip up the local prudes, the better. I wish they would all go away and leave us/the SCs in peace.
I highly doubt it. I've never seen a realistic portrayal of strip clubs.
I watched that clip for a few minutes. Gosh, is that boring. No wonder they need to sensationalize parts of it.
I can believe it. I do not know if I've ever seen that spending level last for a year or longer but it's not an outrageously high number to drop in a place like Delilah's if you visit a few times or more per week.
With a nice club like Delilah's I could see someone spending $3k over the course of 3 or 4 visits in a week. I've known people who have spent that type of money for a short period but I have never known anyone who continued to spend that kind of money for an extended period like this guy did.
The only way I could see someone keeping up that type of spending for an extended period is a case like they are talking about where the guy is basically using other people's money and not working a real job. He was basically a mini-Maddoff but instead of spending his money on art and other luxury items he spent it on strippers.
It's easy to drop that much in a night. It's easy to drop a lot more. But every week.... its $156,000 a year.

Didn’t watch the vid but as others said they often either embellish or are fake.
But I can def see some dudes spending that type of cash – they’ve either being very successful and have made a ton of cash and now wanna live-it-up; or as @whodey mentioned, someone that’s made a ton of $$$ illegitimately (i.e. white-collar crime; etc).
$3K per week is def doable in a nice upscale club – dropping $1K 3x per week in certain clubs is not that hard if one is doing more than one VIP; doing bottle-service; having a half-dozen-dancers at the table and buying them drinks during the whole visit; tipping staff; etc.
It’s certainly possible, but probably not a lot of people spend 3k in a week on the regular. Even assuming he does this all year long, I’ve known people with more expensive hobbies… sailboats, race cars, airplanes, etc.
I’ve noticed customers spending like crazy, locking down several dancers. I’ve even seen them do that a period of a month, or two. After that, they disappear.
If I won the lottery I could see going on a binge for a while and dropping that kind of money. It would be a blast for a while. But it would probably get old before too long.
Unless she's a 10 and loves to fuck, I can't justify spending that much at a strip club.
Yeah - I remember when that happened back in the early 90s. In fact it kind of hit close to home. I had a lot of fun with the Delilahs dancer Summer. She had a great body and knew how to make a customer happy. She was one of my first ATFs when private/lap dances first became available in the Philly area.
An asshole, Craig Rabinowitz, was obsessed with. I remember him at the club. I figured he was spending big bucks, probably thousands, on her because she would go private with him and not come back out. I was a young buck with limited funds and blue balls as a result sometimes lol.
He kind of ran a Ponzi scheme on his friends to get money for his “medical supply business” while he was spending all the money on Summer.
He ended up murdering his wife - when she started figuring out what was going on - and to get life insurance money. He was a piece of shit.
Summer was a total smoke show. She was later featured on HBO’s G String Divas. You can see video of her in that show on Pornhub.

Partying like that in a strip club would get old after a while. And if he were spending it on a girl or girls he'd have a better time doing it otc.
I've done the whole bottle service tipping everyone buying girls drinks and making it rain and spent like $1800 doing it.
I once threw a surprise party for a girl at a club. That came down to $4600. Tipped everyone. Rented a taco cart. Bought her and her friends drinks and made it rain $3000 on her in ones.

I had another ATF from 25 years ago who retired from Delilahs (my post-Summer fav) and is now a successful insurance agent. I happened to see her out one night at a restaurant and her body looked smokin hot. She still showed off her big fake cans in a tight sweater but she was still slim and athletic looking. What a winner.
Sounds like he’s got more dollars than sense.
