DJ with a personal touch and a sense of humor.

I just had a quick beer on the way home with my favorite bar tender who also dances one-two days a week. Catching up on the events of last month, her and I a laughing and having a good time. Suddenly, she gets up and hurries over to greet this older guy saying something that she a the other dancers just talked about him and starts laughing. They sit down in the corner and start the conversation. At the same, the DJ hurries by and says hi to me. I have known the guy for a while and, being a musician myself (BTW, I compose, play keys, DJ and sing. This is my third job.), him and I are deffinately club-buddies. The next song comes up and it is "short dick man" by 20 fingers. This is the first time I hear the song and the lyrics make me laugh. My time was up right after the song ended, and after I kissed the bartender goodby, I went over to the DJ booth and asked the DJ for the name of the song. He passed me a note saying that he played the song in dedication to the guy that just walked in as he nodded toward the conner where the older guy sat. "The girls tell me that he has that much..." and, using his fingers, he measured an imagenary rod of about 2.5" So guys, watch out for that song be friends with DJs, LOL !!!

I was going to say if you found a nice DJ, that's great for you. Some DJ's I hear keep running their mouth a lot when you want to hear the music or play the music so loud your ears hurt. As far as the song you mentioned goes, I heard it years ago a number of times. I thought it was amusing. I don't know why someone would need to watch out for it. With a description as small as 2.5, it makes me think the old guy hasn't been aroused at all by the dancers and they don't know a thing. One of these days he might take viagra and surprise them all. I don't know, I tend to believe dancers are lying most of the time anyway so you can't necessarily believe a word they say.

Maybe I'm too suspicious. If I hear a dancer comment on the size of something I think she's up to something. Maybe she thinks she's boosting someones ego and she'll get more lap dances. It can get annoying if a dancer keeps saying how big something is as well. Considering I think most dancers are lying at least half the time, hearing something like that just makes me wonder what is she up to? I'm thinking though who really cares? Just do a good lap dance.

I have long wanted to know who did that song, as it pops up regularly at my #2 club, if I stick around long enough. Now I know. Anyway, it could be just a joke and everyone, including the old guy, knows it. I suppose my biggest moment of PL-dom was one time when I was following my ATF around all night, and she was the last main stage dancer and they played REO Speedwagon's "Keep On Loving You". At least it felt appropriate. When she was at a place where they have a jukebox, she said she always plays it.

Only one of my fav clubs has a DJ. Typically, I despise DJs. They tend to be annoying - hell, you can't even understand what they are saying most of the time. I also, sometimes feel a little jealous of them, too. The girls are always gathered around them, and you always hear rumors that the DJs are getting "some" from several of the dancers. However, there's a DJ at BBF (Kenny) that I don't mind as much. He's helped me out with more than one dancer by taking them off the rotation for a while, or even for the remainder of the night. He's always been friendly with me and remembers who I am (and what girls I've been with). Of course he's gotten a few big tips from me in the beginning, which I'm sure went a long ways in solidifying how he treats me.

I good DJ is hard to find. The job does not require much training and they make good money. However, a good DJ is a true asset for both groups: the dancers and the customer. And yes, they do get "some" but that is atopic for another dicussion...

I despise DJs also. This is a job better suited for a machine.

I really hate them as well, although I just think they just let their ego get in the way. The one I somewhat got to know seemed like a decent person when his microphone wasn't on and he was at the bar, but he was just obnoxious with the microphone on. Of course, it may have helped I didn't realize who he was until he spoke on the microphone two minutes later.
