Industry Question for Dancers - Feature Performers

I got into a discussion with a PL at the bar on a slow night. The topic of Feature Performers came up. I'm talking the ladies from the porn scene who do appearances at clubs for a night or two each. First, how does it work? Do they get a direct fee from the club? Do they get a cut of the door and whatever they make? I know some charge for photos with guys, offer dances, some sell DVDs, t-shirts, online content, ect. Or is it like house dancers who typically pay the club for their slot and they make their own money.

When feature performers are there, is it good or bad for the club's own dancers? Do they draw in more patrons and you make more money or do they draw away money from those that would normally be making it on those nights?

I figured some of our ladies on here would have some insight.
