I saw this happening in real time on TV this afternoon. Part of the celebration in George Floyd Square at the announcement of three guilty counts on Derek Chauvin, celebrators made it rain. A guy being interviewed on camera cut things off to grab some $1s.

I saw that too. I have no idea. Maybe they wished there were some strippers there to celebrate?

Oh - you meant with $$$!

My mistake - I thought this was an R Kelly type of rain.

Purple Rain?

I would pick up the $$ and hail a cab over to my favorite burger joint, Matt’s Bar, the home of the Jucy Lucy! The melted cheese in the middle will burn your mouth hotter than a freshly microwaved hot pocket.

Bacon!!

i was watching the news coverage during dinner. first channel i was tuned into showed this guy with a big stack of cash, and he's making it rain like he's at a strip joint. there were only maybe 2-3 girls in that crowd that i would have given tips to if they danced at the clubs i go to.

flip to another channel - disappointed. the fucking guy only tossed out singles. i thought he was handling out 20's. ya know: 'ol george got into a mess because of a 20. i wonder if the tossed singles were as real as that 20 dollar bill that georgie had.

Rattdog if they were making it rain using counterfeit $100’s with George Floyd’s face on them - that would be creative and a bit ironic.

ay cash

i was also checking the store that was closed next door. the one that had this big ass awning. the store sells stamps, keys, pizza, milk, halal, etc. imagine this - someone from that crowd going to the owner of that store with a fake hundred with georgie's face on it and saying, "you are gonna accept this bill or else.."

Just when you think "makin' it rain" can't get any dumber someone like this comes along and says "hold my beer."

speaking of souvenirs - BLM t-shirts. let's just say for some reason i wanted to buy one of those rags. where would i buy one? or were they handed put at some protest gathering a year ago? would a georgie 20 be a proper exchange for 3-4 of those shirts? i'm getting tired of wasting kleenex tissues and perfectly good old socks to dump my jizz on after a real intense wank.

I saw that live as well! I thought it was hilarious but that's how some people celebrate. 🤷‍♀️

I am so happy that I was born in 1957 and got to live my life when we were a successful country.

Did they really name a square after that piece of shit Floyd?

Don't get me wrong, I think what happened to Chauvin was just. Police cannot just kill a helpless man because he's a POS. It's long past time that a message was sent when something like that happened.

But this martyrdom nonsense re: Floyd is just plain silly. He was a career violent felon who hurt a great many people. His death made the world a little bit better place. It just should not have happened like it did.

A piece of shit is Chauvin, who knelt on Floyd's neck for over 9 minutes. He deserves to spend the rest of his life in jail.

Has anyone taken a drive along one of the many MLK boulevards in this country? They are usually one of the more dangerous parts of a city. Naming a street or square after George Floyd simply tells me it’s another street to avoid.

My view remains unchanged. Chauvin is a POS cop who thought he could kill and not face consequences. Floyd was a criminal and drug addict - and he did not deserve to be murdered by a police officer. Based on the trial evidence - his days were numbered.

===> "A piece of shit is Chauvin, who knelt on Floyd's neck for over 9 minutes. He deserves to spend the rest of his life in jail."

Agree with this too. This is a case of one piece of shit killing another piece of shit. Sadly there are no heroes in this story.

^ you are proving my point skibum. You enjoyed the life and success that the GI and Silent generation before you created, but when it comes to putting in work to mKe the world a better place, or fixing the crisis at hand, you want no part of it. You are exactly the loser you call emigrants who come here to make a better life. You sir, are a slacker.

After thinking about ghetto celebrations - I’m very surprised nobody pulled out a gun and began firing into the air!

When I was doing my civic duty on jury duty in Newark NJ, one of my fellow jurors asked if it was still legal to fire your gun off on New Years to celebrate! Evidently he didn’t get the memo on that one!

the ones who feel they have to fire off their arms on rooftops in shitty areas get a free pass twice a year from the cops: new years eve and the 4th of july.

Every year on New Years Eve some person gets hit by stray gunfire usually from quite a distance away, it happens every year here in Florida, usually its minor, but there have been deaths, and severe trauma resulting from this idiocy.

Cash - Massachusetts can't do anything right, because in Worcester, MLK blvd. is safer than main street.

^ Ski - A safe MLK Blvd would make me very paranoid.

Parking my car on that street and coming back to find it untouched would feel very odd.
