Poker Rooms Open

shailynn
They never tell you what you need to know.
Just out of curiosity does anyone know of a casino in the USA other than Vegas that has their poker room open?

Every poker room inside an open casino within a 300 mile radius of my is still closed. Not that I’m wanting to rush out and go to one... just curious.

For the record I do know of some in Vegas that are open and they ha e plexiglass separating the players and dealer.

this one near me is open I haven't been here in a long while but they are scheduled to be shut down permanently soon, as our red state governor has decreed dog racing a moral problem

I should have noted Covid-19 pates have skyrocketed in the state of florida and the death rate has been skewing younger lately, but dog racing outside, and Poker playing inside which one would you think our red state governor is opposed to ?

The Hard Rock Tampa was on of the first in Florida to implement protocols similar to Vegas. They should be open.

^ It’s about the money the casinos don’t want the competition and DeSantis got a fuck ton of money from the Seminole tribe which runs all of the casinos in the state of Florida

Casinos should have never opened. They're super spreaders. But they have so much money. In Nevada they basically own the state. It was ridiculous 2hen bars were closed but casinos allowed to remain open.

I'm curious, 25. Does DeSantis actually have any control over gambling on the Seminole reservations? I just wonder because they are Federal reservations and pretty much are self governed.

Maybe, maybe he does I know what you’re alluding to, but it’s exceedingly strange that the Christian Right wingers here in Florida never complained about the Hard Rock and Seminole casinos yet when Disney and the Miami Beach hotel industries managed to get casinos on the ballot those born again busybodies spent tremendous amounts of money to defeat then governor Lawton Chiles, then Jeb Bush got in and the casinos got built all over the state, yes they were on Native American lands but still the results speak for themselves
It’s funny but DeSantis was instrumental in getting the greyhound tracks and Jai Alai frontons sunsetted with money from the Seminole and Miccosuccee tribes

Harrah's at Cherokee, North Carolina is open. Right now, it is limited to five players per table with wearing masks. They will be adding plexiglass dividers between the players soon and will increase to eight players per table with wearing masks.

I know the Jack's Casino (being remodeled as Hard Rock) has their poker room closed but the Hollywood Casino just across the state line in Lawrenceburg Indiana has their poker room open with the following rules in place.

All live tables will play 5 handed with a max rake of $5.
No promotional fund will be taken.
There will be no tournaments at this time.
    Masks must always be worn.
No food and beverage allowed at tables.
    The Poker Room is non-smoking.

I think most of the places in FL that had poker before are open now. The Hard Rock is, PBC Kennel Club is as 25 mentioned, the Ft. Pierce Casino is.
