How do you post a photo in discussions? I could do it in the photo gallery but not the broader discussion.

What Nice said... of course, if you go to home, Photo postings show up in the Feed.
I'm sure there are many options. You can post video or pics to Google Drive and get an anonymous public link. If you're the nervous type, open a Google account with a throwaway username.
You can upload photos to your TUSCL profile then you can copy/paste the TUSCL link to your specific TUSCL photo.
Easiest way would be to upload the photo somewhere , then copy &paste the link to the photo. No way to embed, as far as I know.
