“The more a person needs to be right, the less certain he is...”
Title couldn’t say it all.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American people.”

I honestly can't believe the continuing hate for the gteatest President in the history of the entire world and the man who is going to bring our economy back to even greater heights than ever over the next 4 years, Mr. Donald J. Trump.

That comment was a response to the poster insulting our current President. I have no particular comment on Roosevelt. He was a bit before my time.

“Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right”

Roosevelt was questioning Wilson’s hesitancy and reluctance to enter WWI. He was not advocating 24/7 attacks and criticisms of the president. Since you are quoting someone who didn’t think the president was doing enough I guess that means you want more Trump.

To stand by the POTUS or anyone of the public servants (police, government officials etc) when they are acting bad and wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American people.

“The International Military Tribunal was opened on 19 November 1945 in the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg.

The Nuremberg trials were a series of military tribunals held after World War II under international law and the laws of war.

The trials were most notable for the prosecution of prominent members of the political, military, judicial, and economic leadership of Nazi Germany, who planned, carried out, or otherwise participated in war crimes.”

Listen you sniveling coward I lost family during WWII members of my family fought for the U S in every war and military operation since 1897 every generation that was born in this country has served many with distinction unlike you and your bullshit statements. I intensely dislike our current President and his agenda but calling our presidents war criminals is just treasonous and disgusting you should be ashamed of yourself.

“Wars are caused by one country's wish to take control of another country's wealth. There is almost always an economic motive underlying most conflicts, even if the stated aim of the war is presented to the public as something more noble.”

The danger of engaging with a troll with an overstated sense of his own self importance notwithstanding
Please tell us in your own words what the profit motive was for the US to enter WWII do not digress or deflect to some other bullshit and don’t quote some moronic justification. I’m not really interested in what your side issues are, you referenced the Nuremberg Laws and stick to the topic you started.

    @CJ

A search of your last posted quote showed it to be from some UK born writer. The economic gain was one of 8 he listed. Guess it fits your narrative better to only list that one reason and the full context. No problem it’s what I expect from progressive liberals.

Your author gives two examples of these economic wars, one involving the British East India company and the either involved Stalin. No mention of the war monger US presidents you criticized.

“How U.S. Economic Warfare Provoked Japan’s Attack on Pearl Harbor”

“On July 26, 1941, Roosevelt “froze Japanese assets in the United States, thus bringing commercial relations between the nations to an effective end. One week later Roosevelt embargoed the export of such grades of oil as still were in commercial flow to Japan”

“The question was how we should maneuver them [the Japanese] into firing the first shot without allowing too much danger to ourselves.”

~ After the attack, to Pearl Harbor Stimson confessed Henry L. Stimson, Secretary of War

America is an Empire that continues extending political, economic, and cultural influence over areas beyond its boundaries.

Including but not limited to military conquest, gunboat diplomacy, unequal treaties, subsidization of preferred factions, economic penetration through private companies followed by intervention when those interests are threatened, or regime change.

“Don’t bother to ask the typical American what U.S. economic warfare had to do with provoking the Japanese to mount their attack, because he won’t know. Indeed, he will have no idea what you are talking about.”

The stupidity of some here amaze me. They think by not helping our enemy that did a sub human animal thug sneak attack on us, makes it our fault. Hey CJ you simplistic, cut and paste buffoon, we don't have to sell anybody anything. We owe nothing to any foreign land and Japan asked to be nuked by their actions and as they were; justice was served.

"And knowing the truth will make it difficult to still believe the lies."

Believe them, perhaps, but the the left has no lack of ability to ignore the truth and trudge ahead with their socialist goals!

The so-called “Two Party System” in The United States is really two sides of the same coin.

Both political parties serve the interests of the corporate robber barons and politicians, who have become rich through ruthless and unscrupulous business practices.

History shows that big business and big government can collude to keep profits flowing to the former and contributions flowing to the latter.

Some in the system will benefit from this criminal form of profit and will defend the system because of it.

Wealth inequality in the United States, also known as the wealth gap, is the unequal distribution of assets among residents of the United States.

It is the sufferings of the many which pay for the luxuries of the few.

Nobody in their right mind would believe that the large fortunes and opulence of Robber Barons, Fat Cats, Capitalist Pigs etc. can be attained just by being an honest hard working person.
