Escort eats spaghetti, steals jewelry from home
BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio
Theft: North Yorkshire Drive
On Feb. 18, police were dispatched to a North Yorkshire Drive home regarding a theft report. An officer arrived at the house to find two people in a heated argument.
The woman said she had left the residence the day before for surgery. When she returned that morning, she found the man sleeping in the bedroom, along with several jewelry boxes out of place and missing jewelry valued at more than $1,800.
In addition, she found an escort service card with the name of an exotic dancer written on the back. The man admitted to having had a visitor, who he said must have stolen the jewelry before he invited her and her driver to eat spaghetti.
When the officer asked about drug use, considering the man’s history with heroin, he became defensive.
The officer called the escort service; however, the number had already been disconnected.
The man did agree to leave the home. Police are investigating.
