The real illness is the high stock market and the tendency many people have to play it. That is pure fatalism and total bullshit.

What suffers is the creation of new small businesses and just the valuing of productive work.

The technology and cold war bonuses have been stolen by the financiers, and our entire society suffers from it.

So BRING ON THE STOCK MARKET CRASH! And the more speculators who commit suicide, the better. These financializers are parasites, the money they take out of the circulating economy is organized theft.

If they did not have immigrants, minorities and child abuse survivors to do the productive work for them, then they would have to do it themselves.

It would be what we have today.

Keep in mind the north didn't want to end slavery coz they loved black people. They were afraid of the 3/4 compromise giving the south more sway in national politics and wanted blacks as cheap labor in northern factories as industrialization was taking root.

If they were science majors I would feel bad for them. If they were liberal arts majors I would point out they made a stupid, stupid choice and are poor because of it. Being honest with people isn't demonizing them. Giving them handouts to ensure that they are poor and reliant on Government is no different than imprisoning someone and letting them out on occasion in the yard for exercise.
