Lying isn't protected speech. Parody and satire are, but not lying.

Of course, the fact that this is exactly the sort of game that mass media has been playing since I started paying attention 40ish years ago. I remember watching a 60 minutes interview with the Commandant of the Marine Corps. He agreed to do it on condition that he got a copy of the entire interview. I saw that full version, they portrayed two different people entirely through judicious editing.

If facebook did it to me, I would ask them to take it down.
