Not to be confused with the Nob Hill Cinema, located on California Street, this Nob Hill Cinema has been operating since 1967 as a gay male porn cinema. It had previously been a jazz club named Club Hangover.

It remains open, but current listings describe it as ‘One of the best run, state-of-the-art video arcades in the city’. It also features ‘live acts’ on the stage nowadays. The owners are retiring and selling the building. It closed August 19, 2018.
