I am planning on driving my new H2 from D.C. to L.A. and am trying to figure out where to stop along the way. Without going way too far off a direct route, I am open to suggestions. Thought I would head out through Ohio (Fantasy Land?) the clubs in Indiana (maybe Indianappolis or Kokomo) and then I am not sure what to do before I get to Las Vegas a few days later. Any ideas from those who have made the cross country trek about stops I should make?
If you go through Indy, stay on 70 and try some East St Louis clubs. Westward to Denver, can't help you there. If you cut over to I10, and go through Phoenix, Christies Tempe is right off I10, Bourbon St. Circus not too far off 10 bypass. What are your tastes&preferences?

Sounds exciting! Get to see some beautiful sights in this great nation of ours. Some national parks and monuments, too!
If you're cutting through Ohio and Indiana, do try and hit up East St. Louis. Then, I say you cut down to Texas if possible and run through Houston and Dallas. Go west to Phoenix before turning north to Vegas. But then, I haven't taken a cross-country trip ever in my life, so maybe I don't know.
Depending on what route you take, you could pass through Morgantown, WV. It's been a long time but I used to have some really fun times at Lady Godiva's there. It's a different kind of place (eg. not fancy) but I always found a fun girl there. Get directions, it's in an out-of-the-way location a couple miles off I-77 south of town.
Or if you take the PA tunrpike route west, try to stop at Filly Corral Show Bar in western PA, which I think is one of the really great unheralded clubs in the US. It's right at an interchange on I-70, but hours are somethat limited, check their web site.
