The party moved more to the left with the Civil Rights Movement and the Anti-War Movement.
Then I think Chuck Robb, Virginia, started the Democratic Leadership Conference. This included first Bill Clinton, the Hillary, then also Joseph Lieberman.
Though Nancy Pelosi was never part of that, she still wants to steer towards the center, as Al Gore and John Kerry had.
Bernie Sanders and AOC are liberals, more what i like. I liked George McGovern, 1972.
I've liked Tom Harkin of Iowa and Jerry Brown of California.
Where the party goes now, we need to see. But these Democrats are not driving this anti-abortion crusade. Women committed to Pro-Choice are a big part of the Democratic base.
