I built a house and bought a car the same year I was married. My dream was an affordable wedding. It worked out great. it's amazing what you do on a budget if she doesn't want the Pope to bless your wedding

My current marriage (2nd), I looked at her and said, “let’s get married next week.” She said, “ok.” We then went to the mall and picked out a $75 white miniskirt dress, called a Licensed marriage person, got our license, had 3 witnesses (our 18 month old girl and my twin 18 year old girls), met in a little chapel on a cobblestone Street and got hitched. Best wedding ever.

I never have. I think that is something society programs into a lot of girls at an early age. You are the star of that production and the groom is just a prop to be plugged into the fantasy wedding at a later date. Weddings are complicated enough, imagine how much worse it would be if the average guy gave a shit about colors, themes, bridesmaids dresses, or boutonnieres.
