Hong Kong and the other clubs that make up Zona Norte are a lot of fun. But if you stay there for 2-3 or more days, you can get a little bored. You can't screw 24 hours a day. ( or at least I can't ). There was a discussion topic a month or so ago that mentioned things to do in the area that were separate from the clubs. One of those things that was mentioned was a casino across the alley from Cascadas. I decided to check this out on this trip.
If you go out the back door from Cascadas, directly across the alley is the entrance. I had never noticed the sign "Caliente" right over a doorway that leads to some stairs. Up one flight to the casino. But it's a little bit of a disappointment. No gaming tables at all. There were about 30-40 video poker / slot machines. Then in the back were about 50 TV's with different sporting events going on around the world. There were scorecards back there for sports betting. I am assuming that you needed pesos to play the video machines. That was it. No black jack, no poker, no craps, no roulette wheel. There are plenty of hookers around, you just have to go back out to the alley.

Caliente is a chain of casinos in Mexico, the one in the Pueblo Amigo has table games and seems a little nicer than the one across from Cascadas. There is another one that I’ve heard is really nice and is just like a casino in Nevada. A smaller one, but still nice.
