Are lot lizards really that common? I've stopped at truck stops before while on road trips and such and failed to notice any hookers although I understand where I park is a whole different area than where the truckers are parked...

Why yes, there’s trucks there where on the outside, it looks just like a regular truck. But on the inside there’s a state, pole, and lap dance area.

Club 203, Moriarty NM, and Big Rig Doll House, Kingman AZ, both on historic Route 66 appeared to be Lot Lizard parlors. Both closed, but I believe there are other such places.

nicespice, We had a dancer here from Portland who explained that in their lowest grade of dives, "The dancers are street hookers."
I had to think about that some, as it is nothing like that here. But I had been to once place in San Francisco a long time ago, what would become Pink Diamonds, and I could see that something like that was true. And I think it is like that in Oakland, hooker bars. Seamless relation between the inside and the outside.
So for that to be true with Lot Lizards, it would have to be set up as a truck stop, allowances for the large vehicles and for sleeping in them and for having a utility hook up. And then the dancers would have to be able to come and go as they wish, no one really trying to keep track of them. The Moriarty place had a motel right next to the strip club. It tends to be more like this when the women are being rotated in, being away from family, friends, and other concerns, there for just a lunar stint. Not much else for them to do except to deliver. FarmerArt wrote about a real nice encounter like this.
I believe that there other places like this, Lot Lizard Strip Clubs, running in the US.
Some of the most loved places East of the Mississippi are rural places on the main highways. Sometimes LE goes easier on such places because the authorities see them as taking money off of out of state people, but without corrupting their own people. Its kind of like how Nevada is set up.
Its not that the places are really brothels, its because they are part of truck stops.

About two girls from Manhattan who went to Moriarty.
But that clubs seems to be closed now. And these two girls did not partake in the more extreme of the doings. But it still comes across.
I think in some rural places, like oil drilling or mining, and also at truck stops, where there is very little local population, they do rotate women in. They call them strippers.
Quite understandable if you ask me. FarmerArt left lots of money to one of them.

From what I've heard a lot of super little rural clubs in the middle of BFE make girls do "bookings" so, yes they rotate them. I imagine guys from a tiny town of like 5000 people need more entertainment than seeing the same damn girls all the time haha.
