Do bouncers get a salary from the club; or do they just get paid via tip-outs from the dancers (and w/e tips they may get from custies)?

I think it depends on the club. But I understand that in many clubs the bouncers depend on dancer tip-outs and customer tips.

The bouncers at my club relied mostly on vip tips. Since the club banned extras, all of the bouncers have been complaining...

I’m pretty sure, just tips.. They, like the dancers are not really employees..

In Austin/San Antonio dancers don’t tip. I’ve tried to give a couple of dollars before for walking me to my car but it’s refused. So I guess their salary is decent?

@nicespice or they are looking to bang you and are trying to simply seem chivalrous. It's subtle but it tends to work with most strippers (dancers).

I've heard it said that of the $152 Follies charges for VIP, the $2 goes to replacing the sofas. I think it is just a tip to the bouncer and that they are salaried.

@nicespice

You don't have to tip-out the staff like the DJ, housemom, and bouncers, as in other clubs?

My guess is salaried but receiving portion of tip out from dancers.

@ToyChaser Eh maybe.

@Papi For most clubs in this area it's a minimum $10 tip out to the DJ and $10 per manager on duty. (There's usually between 2-4 managers at one time.) More can be given if you think favoritism will come your way from it (the answer to that depends on you and your club). I believe many day shifts drop that down to $5. House moms don't have to be tipped out but I like to give $3 just out of good will.

They get paid by the number of bones they break. At least a few clubs seem to be this way.

I was wondering if I could get a job as a bouncer if I've only broken some guys teeth by accident in a fight when I was much younger. maybe. I try to be careful.
