A Brief Moment In History, This Is Why San Jose Guy Is Not Allowed To Fly Anymor

They never tell you what you need to know.
1995: United Airlines Flight 976: Angry after flight attendants refused to serve him more drinks, Llyod S. (also known as San Jose Guy), 41, a computer programmer from San Jose, CA flying from Buenos Aires to New York on October 20, got out of his seat and began harassing and assaulting the flight attendants while trying to procure more wine for himself. When they still refused to serve him afterwards, he defecated on a service cart in the first-class section in full view of other passengers, then began wandering around the cabin, leaving feces in his footprints and smearing some of it on the walls.

Further food service was canceled due to the unsanitary conditions created.
The pilot asked to make an emergency landing at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan to have Finneran removed from the plane and taken into custody. But among the other passengers were Argentine foreign minister Guido di Tella and Portuguese president Mário Soares, and controllers would not allow the diversion due to the security risks involved with foreign dignitaries on board. When the plane landed, SJG was arrested by the FBI on several charges of interfering with a flight crew. He eventually pled guilty to one count of making a threat and was fined $5,000 and sentenced to 300 hours of community service; he also agreed to reimburse United $1,000 for its costs involved in cleaning the aircraft's interior and his fellow passengers $48,000 for their tickets.

Shailynn, when your mom is driving you to rehearsals of the West Texas Christian Glee Club, is that what you do using her cell phone?

And I was thinking it was due to SJG trying to DFK the flight attendants... even the male ones!

If SJG was flying - I would expect lots of fellow passengers would try to pull the latch on the door - and jump! Without parachutes!

Not too much more time I hope to be flying my own airplane. That's one of reasons I try to stay healthy.

Never have liked commercial flights. Want to fly myself, even if it takes longer and costs more money.
