"This is Bourbon Street, Not Sesame Street" "raids were targeted at human traffickers, although no arrests for human trafficking were made."

"Save our jobs!" The do-gooders like to pat themselves on the back for fighting "trafficking" but never consider that strippers need their jobs to support themselves and their kids. If it weren't for those evil strip clubs, they seem to think, the dancers would be programming computers or teaching chemistry at Tulane.

Interesting they found no evidence of trafficking. But still shut down a bunch of clubs due to "lewd acts".

Just posted this as a start to a new discussion topic, "In late January 2018 there were several raids at Bourbon Street strip clubs. Very little illegal activity was found, but clubs were shut down none the less, and there have been protests and public outcry. See for example ... nola.com ... and ... nola.com ... and related stories. "
