It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
Just about every night there is either a college football game or an NFL game.

Unless you are a Browns fan.....:--) ( said from a Steelers fan)
Until we hit 12/23 I'm not much of a bowl game watcher.

Many of the lower tier bowls are important to programs that desire to advance to the hierarchy of college football. They can be used as recruiting tools, as enticements for donors, or other positive statements about the university.
One must take baby steps before they can run to the pinnacle of college football.

The one cool thing is if you’re a big fan of xxx University it’s cool to see a unique match up.
I think the most interesting one for me this year is LSU / Notre Dame.

The only advantages to going to a non-playoff bowl are recruiting possibilities and extra practice time.
For the fans it sucks.

I wonder how many Northwestern players have the opportunity to leave school early for a career in the NFL.....

Dad,
No idea, but interesting that only two of the top 25 were ranked in the final CFP top 10 poll. University of Miami and Penn State. Also, Army, Navy, and Air Force, 10-12.
