ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP — A 27-year-old man was charged with theft of labor and services, a Class A misdemeanor, after an altercation at Blackjacks Gentleman’s Club in St. Charles Township on June 18.
According to a report from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Jose M. Guerrero of the 100 block of Washburn Street, Elgin, failed to pay his share of a $730 tab, accrued from the services of employed dancers. Guerrero was with an unnamed person who paid his share of the bill, leaving Guerrero to pay the remaining amount of $380. Kane County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Gabriel Perez and Ryan Rojkowski reported to the incident.
Guerrero, according to the sheriff’s report, said he could pay the bill in a few days. Perez advised Guerrero to reach out to family and friends in order to pay his bill, to which Guerrero refused. Guerrero showed Perez an ATM receipt with a balance of zero, according to reports.
After presenting the receipt, Guerrero is quoted as saying “just take me to jail then,” reports stated. A representative of the business said Blackjacks Gentleman’s Club did wish to pursue charges due to Guerrero’s uncooperative behavior. Perez obtained a written statement stating video was available to provide proof of services rendered.
Deputies transported Guerrero to Kane County jail to await further processing.A plea hearing is set for June 29, according to court records.

Is this worse than say, not paying a restaurant tab?
At least he isn't having to stand up to thug bouncers.
