This area of Indy has gotten really rough. There is an all but abandoned indoor shopping mall (Lafayette Square) where the stores were driven out by roving groups of punk kids that would gang shoplift and drove customers away. Thirty years ago it was a major shopping area now Not! There are multiple low end topless joint in the area. If these girls were from St. Louis they were likely not just strippers.
Couldn't find the club under the name listed in the article (Cherri Palace) - Googled the club name and got an address - there is a black club by the name of "Golden Nugget" at that same address listed on TUSCL and per the reviews the club used to go by "Babes West".
There has got to be more to this story.
