Well, looks like Brent ran up such a gambling debt that he now has to go work for some shady guys in Vegas and leave his ESPN job. Kidding, but it certainly is odd that his departure from ESPN was so brisk. Maybe he just wanted to get away from Dick Vitale.

I too find his abrupt, mid-season departure curious and alarming. I suspect he has an illness. I hope I am wrong.

Maybe his departure is like a Marv Albert type thing?

How long until we hear he likes to wear women's underwear and bite girls?

Could be he was forced out, he has not necessarily been the big cheese for a few years - he's been around a LONG TIME and and maybe they been wanting some fresh blood

He's also been controversial in the past (I believe he got fired from CBS back in the day when he was at the top of his game) , so maybe he pissed-off someone high up in management this time?

He was controversial right to the end, if you have heard is comments on Oklahoma Sooner Joe Mixon. As best as I can tell, he got fired by CBS when CBS Sports got new management who probably didn't like his personality.
