hasn't happened to me before..wasn't sure WTD...

from that Adam Westsiiiide of Gotham
for the first time i could recall, as i'm getting into my car in the parking lot, i saw 2 dudes physically coaxing a drunk girl towards the hotel a few feet away...and she was someone i was acquainted with. i don't think they knew each other. we were all at the same bar earlier.

usually, i'll mind my business. but i wasn't sure what to do--since it's someone i'm kinda familiar with. i don't know her personally, but i'm acquainted with her.

At some point the trolls always push things too far, and it's not fun replying to them anymore, sigh.

Always do the right thing. Ask the guys if they are okay, ask the girl if she's okay. Life's a coincidence, not worth living with regrets, once you get over 25 you are just waiting to die doing random shit.
More importantly asking can make a big difference. The guys may have subconsciously forgotten they were trying to do something wrong and will back out if they come to sense.
Otherwise there will be blood... Again don't take life too seriously, but also sometimes you can't help someone in Chinatown by helping them.

^^^^^ Subra, I don't see gothamyte's post as 'troll'. Wouldn't be that unless he was just making it up.

Gothamyte, do you think the girl was living in the hotel? Do you think she has some other kind of relationship with the two guys? Were the two guys club staff?

It is going to be hard to decide WTD when one sees potentially problematic situations. I believe that getting dancers safely off the premises is often a problem. Some girls cause problems.

I agree with ThereAndBackAgain, trying to talk to the guys and the girl should reveal what is up.

At the very least call the police, how the fuck could you witness such a thing and do nothing, are you a moron ?
This has got to be the stupidest post ever in the history of TUSCL.

If anyone seems in distress, do something, anything! If it is something doing bad, most will break it off and run. Of course some might not, but life in itself is a risk! I know, before I said anything, my .40 would be off safety and behind my back. Don't try that without being proficient with a hand gun.

Jeezus Christ you do the right thing and ask her if she's OK and then kick the guys asses if they are predatory shitbags.

i apologize.

this indeed came across / came out extremely troll-ish.

lemme clarify to shed some light. (but since all posts here are extremely public, i always worry the party i'm talking about will someday see this post so i tried to be evasive/vague, not trolling.)

she's a civvie, not a dancer or entertainer. and this was at a local bar. if she was a dancer or a pro maybe i'd react differently...? since she is a civvie like any of us i felt like i was intruding in the way that: if you saw a pimp on the street roughing up a pro, you may feel more concerned or you saw a stripper in this same sitcho you may feel to step in, but if it's your neighbor from the block roughing up his significant other, you tend to hesitate at first. that's all i was trying to say.

being that she's an acquaintance, i didn't want to step in if she's just playing these dudes for attention and had no intentions of doing anything. a little background: she came to the bar with a female buddy. her female buddy was still inside the bar and nowhere around as this chick, so her friend didn't seem too concerned to know where her tipsy pal was.

i agree with clubber. if this acquaintance felt truly in danger, all she had to do was scream. we were outside. call attention to herself. refuse to budge. she wasn't doing that. she wasn't exactly willingly going along with these 2 dudes, but she wasn't exactly stopping them either. all she had to do was turn around and head back to the bar.

also, who here wants to appear as a "captain-save-a-chick"? she's an adult, i'm not directly responsible for her. but on the other hand, little things like this can go left really quickly. she could be kidnapped by these dudes or sexually assaulted. that's where i wasn't sure WTD...

a little more background: this acquaintance has a very pretty face and is a very nice, cool person, but she's a little on the heavy side. the 2 dudes were very slight in frame. and her buddy is bigger in size than she is. so who knows if these plus size chicks don't mind attention like this to a point to feel some kind of way. then again, in this day and age, average dudes on the street are crazy and can do anything.

i happened to have the bigger chick's # and texted her a heads up that her buddy was outside in the parking lot being coaxed by 2 dudes. she didn't respond until a half hour later with "ok i'm on my way to check it out"...

hate to admit it but had she been a smaller sized chick, i'd been more apt to step in. very pretty gal, but seeing that she's plus sized....she didn't appear to be in direct danger by one guy alone. 2 smaller guys, eh...3 guys would be a problem tho.

that's why i said for the first time, i wasn't sure WTD...different combos of this scenario would pull me one way or the other...this scenario didn't...

hope they never see this post lol

If you see something that does not look right, I agree that the best thing to do is just try to talk to the people, and not in an accusatory manner either.

Worst worst case, call the cops. But that should be the very last resort, and also, we need to try and protect strip clubs from allegations that they are causing problems, except when unavoidable.
