At the top of the site is "January 17, 2011 • Vol. 18, No. 17". What does the "Vol. 18, No. 17" in reference to?

It appears that No. 17 is the date as it now reads No. 18

Volume is year since tuscl began. Number is day of the year (1-365).

from reading some comments here i know tuscl's been around a long time, but 18 years???
