Many years ago at Gigi's in Memphis (long before Platinum Plus) the DJ would announce that "Purple Rain " would be the next song. Since it was 8 minutes long everyone in the house would start picking a dancer for a lap dance. I became very familiar with that song and to this day can't hear it without thinking of those long gone Memphis clubs.
