Many years ago at Gigi's in Memphis (long before Platinum Plus) the DJ would announce that "Purple Rain " would be the next song. Since it was 8 minutes long everyone in the house would start picking a dancer for a lap dance. I became very familiar with that song and to this day can't hear it without thinking of those long gone Memphis clubs. The song, in addition to its length, was one of the best songs to come out of that era. It is certainly a classic.

Songs by Prince seemed to very popular when I started regular clubbing in the lates 80's.
I'd probably heard "Darling Nikki" before, but the first time I actually paid attention to the lyrics was in a strip club circa 1988.
It was my first time in an all nude club. I was in a Deja Vu in the afternoon. The place was dead and pretty quiet when the DJ played this song and for the first time i heard;

You had said before that there are great places outside of the Zona. I presume this means a few blocks further South. Though going the few blocks further North shows all sorts of little motels and retail building which I presume are for sex.
All these places are going to have pluses and minuses. I think some of it just depends upon how much time you want to spend there, per girl.
