One of my favorite character actors of all-time. Played in a bazillion TV shows in the 60's and 70's. A lot of Westerns like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Big Valley.
But the role that made him famous (and for which he won an Acadeny Award) was 'Dragline' in Cool Hand Luke. He was amazing.
