Valentine's Day Commercials

I think it started even earlier this year with the Valentine's Day ads by the jewelers and other companies who want you to spend tons of money to buy the one you love an expensive present.

Do you guys who aren't married find these ads as hilarious as I do and think thank goodness I don't have to deal with that bs anymore? And for those of you who are married or with a SO what is your take on them? Also, what do you guys/lopaw plan to do for your wife/SO on that day?

I have never been married and I'm single. I'm only 26 though. I usually just get an escort on Valentine's Day.

The Jeff Foxworthy commercial for Golden Corral all you can eat prime rib on Valentine's Day is my favorite commercial now.

I think the bear commercials are hilarious. I remember when I used to be into buying such things, but I haven't had a Valentine since 2009 and I've enjoyed it. No plans this year - if I had a little more money I'd go out of town since we get Presidents' Day off.

De Beers is a marketing genius.

Worldwide diamond sales approached $80 billion last year.

A card and candy will do wonders with strippers and non-strippers alike.

I'm married and I find all of these commercials hilarious too. None of the commercials affect nor influence anything the wife and I do for Valentine's Day. We laugh at the couple buying flowers at scalper's rates (The price always skyrockets for V-day) or trying to get reservations at crowded restaurants. I'll be home making her a home cooked meal and presenting her gift to her. If all goes well, I might actually go to the club later that night.

Speaking of valentines day, I need a valentine. Who wants to be my valentine?

I ordered 5 boxes of See's Candy for xmas. So I have been getting daily emails for Valentines Day. I won't be buying anything for any one.
