Another Cleveland area strip club news story: Woman hits, spits on Mentor police officer, trashes cruiser MENTOR, Ohio --About 11:20 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a gentleman's club near Center Street and Tyler Boulevard for a report of a disruptive employee.

According to police, when they arrived, officers found Michelle Miller, 26, of Painesville, screaming and throwing things.

She was arrested but refused to leave and kicked an officer. As officers tried to escort her from the club, she spit on a customer.

She then began to try and injure herself in the cruiser. Officers were forced to use pepper spray on her to keep her from injuring herself further.

She was taken to the hospital for treatment and, while there, spit in an officer's face.

Miller vandalized a cruiser and destroyed a jail mattress. She was charged with assault on a police officer, harassment by inmate, vandalism and disorderly conduct.

Oh, damn -- another 2amer hits close to home. My only Cleveland SC visit ever was on a Saturday night a couple of years ago at Fox's Den, very close to Secrets on Brookpark Road. BTW, my impression is that low-touch dances and pasties in the last couple of years have rendered the Brookpark clubs worthless.

Who the hell robs a guy leaving a strip? Unless he is a pimp or dealer he is probably broke. If the girls did their jobs the only thing he'll have in his pants is a sticky mess.

Then again, half the guys are practically broke before they go into most Cleveland strip clubs.

The brook park clubs used to be known for their value. $10 lap dances were a good deal but since then prices have gone up to 20song and mileage has gone down. There were several clubs along brook park (crazy horse, temptations, platinum horse, gigi, fox den, ambers, and secrets).

I once heard Cleveland described by a U.S. guy as "the mistake by the lake ". Is that a common feeling over there and is it justified?

Cleveland is one of the "rust belt" cities, cities that once were made prosperous by manufacturing jobs and industries but are now decaying and suffering from high unemployment. Birmingham or Manchester, England, might be fair comparisons.

Cleveland's Cuyahoga River was so polluted that it once caught fire.

Thanks JS I will do anything to avoid going to Birmingham. Manchester not quite as bad.

Cleveland is a little less awful than Detroit but with much lower-mileage strip clubs.

I've been to Secrets at least 20 times in the past but the last time was probably 3-4 years ago. All were evening visits, mixed crowd early evening turned into 90% hoodrats by 11pm. I never hung around past midnight but It doesn't take much thought to figure the clientele @ 2:30am

I once went to a customer location in the inner city of Cleveland. It was in this old, gritty industrial location with 100 year old buildings surround with fences. But the inside of the building had been refurbished and the offices were quite nice. It was odd.
