DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit firefighters were working late Monday morning to put out a fire at a strip club in the downtown area.
Authorities say fire crews were at Legends Club — “Detroit’s Premier Gentlemen’s Club” — in the 400-block of E. Congress Street early in the morning for a small grease fire. Firefighters called back to the scene a short time later to put out more flames.
Fire crews were fighting the blaze on the second and third floors on the building.
There have been no injuries reported.

To all of Legend's valued customers, friends and staff: Early today a small fire developed which was quickly extinguished thanks to the fast-acting efforts of the Detroit Fire Department. Fortunately, the damage to the club was minimal; primarily smoke and water. As a result, Legends will be closed until we can make whatever repairs that are necessary to return the club to the same level of excellence that we have all enjoyed. We will keep everyone posted with more details as they develop. Thank you for your expression of concern and support!
