Boomers were coddled by their parents which were the greatest generation, boomers in large part ingored their gen x children because they were too busy doing drugs in the 70s and chasing materialistic things in the 80s inventing the "latch key child." The result: a lot of bitter gen x'rs who are whiney bitches.
