Good article. Why do we need whorehouses when we have strip clubs?

Shame...I popped my cherry in a Nevada brothel. But that was before I took up SC hopping!!! The biggest reason for their decline is their prices. Why pay 1200 for an hour with these girls when you can get a stripper to do the same for 200-300!

Hmm, let's think about this. Drive out into the middle of nowhere and pay beaucoup money to fuck a 7 (or worse) or stay right in Vegas and easily pickup an 8 or higher for much less. I know which gets my vote.

For the most part, the guys going to Nevada brothels are either too ignorant, timid, or fearful to get paid sex via the technically illegal but widely available alternative cheaper means.

It's a shame though. If they put the brothels where the people are, and lowered the prices, it could be a successful industry. But the politicians prefer to keep the sex work underground to satisfy their moralistic constituents.

It's the casino lobby that kept the bordellos out of the counties where they had operations.

My one and only trip to a brothel was out of ignorance and after my trip I decided it was not worth It although I didn't pay a lot. But that's a hella drive for 30 minutes of sex. I won't go again.

I just read an article -- it is widely believed by most that the end of brothels in America occurred during the Progressive Era (1890's-1920's) when in fact most were closed down shortly after World War II.

For whatever reason, the U.S. Military wanted the houses surrounding military bases shutdown after WW II.

The military threatened base closings if the towns didn't comply with shutting down the brothels.

I'm not sure why a prostitute would work in a brothel these days. Somewhat safer? But at a significant cost to her bottom line.

I always assumed these women were building relationships online, perhaps through webcam sites.

Then just getting the guys to come out there. Otherwise I don't see how they could bring out enough business to really be profitable.

They are just too expensive and for the same if not more fun you can get in a SC for much less. Most SCs are closer as well, you have to travel pretty far for this when it's not worth it.
