I came upon a notice about Blaze Starr in "This week in West Virginia history":

Blaze Starr is undoubtedly the most important person to ever come out of West Virginia, and Wikipedia tells me she is still alive at age 83.
She was portrayed by Lolita Davidovich is the movie "Blaze", which also starred Paul Newman as Louisiana governor Earl Long. I remember seeing this movie. Even with Paul Newman, the movie is no "Cool Hand Luke." But it does have some stripper scenes for us TUSCLers:
