Club violence

Shadowcat does a good job posting news stories on shootings at clubs. Have any of you been at a club and actually witnessed any kind of physical altercation between customers or between customers and club employees? (I'm not including dancer-on-dancer violence.) I'm curious what kind of violence you saw, how the club responded and whether the police showed up. Also, are there any clubs you avoid because they have a "rough" reputation?

All I've seen is a drunk guy sort of resist getting thrown out by the bouncer.

I've seen the bouncers throw several customers out for being drunk or not paying dancers. The oddest one was throwing a female out. Don't know if she was a GF or wife of a customer but she came into the club, found him, and proceeded to beat the hell out of him.

The only club I avoided was "Crush" in Columbia SC. It is now closed because of all of the violence.

I've seen a drunk guy sorta make a scene with a bouncer.

I also saw 2 dudes almost get in a fight. But the club employees broke it up before anything actually happened

Saw a young kid in his 20's get up and punched another patron at the next table right in the mouth and yelled "get up old man!" Bouncers came over to check things out and didn't do anything. Both the assaulted and assaulted stayed in the club after that like nothing happened. The guy must have had it coming to him, and the young guy shut him up. I've never seen anything like it before.

^^^^ Both assaulter and assaulted stayed in the club, and still seated at adjacent tables.

My most local club ia a redneck dive that I've became a quasi- regular at. I've never seen fists swinging but I've seen people get thrown out. One guy claimed he owned the club but it turned out he was only the owners grandson being a loudmouth punk ass little bitch. I was in this club wednesday when a patron got thrown out for cussing the dancer on stage. I was told he took a swing at the bouncer outside. I went on this club one friday night and afterward decided to never go in on weekend nights again.

I've seen of few instances of the typical drunk guy getting tossed after an argument and shoving - but I witnessed a full scale brawl once.

It was in a semi-dive club on New Year's Eve. There was a table of maybe 4 couples. They were seated just across from so I had a decent view of them. Two of the women started arguing and then pushing each other. It would have been fine but the asshole boyfriends had to get involved. Then it erupted into a full scale fight. It got real when one of the guys grabbed a chair and started swinging it around wildly.

One of the guys was black and the other was white so other guys in the club started to join in along racial lines. The bouncers eventually got the guys to take it outside and the police were called.

I left so not sure what hsppened after that.

In a SC, haven't seen anything than an unruly patron being escorted out. Even then is was hardly physical.

In a "normal" bar, you name it. From fights to even gunshots. Other than the typical fight injuries and perhaps broken pride, nothing major.

Might be my local watering holes are not "normal" but I believe they are.

One time I was at a redneck club in west Virginia and this customer (guy in his early 20s) was going ballistic because he claimed a stripper he got a lap dance from took all the money out of his wallet. He had a group of friends so it winded up being them (4 guys) against the 2 roided out bouncers. The stripper in question was behind the bouncers taunting this PL and laughing the whole time so you knew she was guilty. A 1 sided ass whooping commenced and after seeing this my 2 friends and I quickly and quietly left never to return again. Didn't matter anyway because the owner set the place on fire a few months later... Which always made me think, how the hell do you burn down a concrete building?

I saw another fabulous fight in your stomping grounds Carlos... Akron, Ohio. Can't remember the club name but I was the only white guy in that place that didn't think he was eminem and eventually a fight broke out that moved to the parking lot. And just my luck the fight ended with someone apparently getting thrown on the hood of my SUV because I moticed the hood was scratched to hell the next morning. Luckily I was able to buff the scratches out.
The Shailynn family doesn't have too much luck with cars, my brother had the fortune of having someone get thrown threw the windshield of his car one night when his car was parked at a strip club years ago. Nothing like going out to your car in the middle of winter and finding broken glass and blood everywhere.

Have seen more violence at NFL games than strip clubs. Was close to a fight once at a SC, but they took it outside.

Many, many years ago the Millstream Inn near Baltimore, I witnessed some stripper on patron violence. The Millstream is a pretty tame club and was even tamer back then. A tall, kind of large-boned, but well-proportioned dancer was on the stage. A guy came up to tip while the dancer bent at the waist with her ass to the tipper. He proceeded to get his nose way up in her ass crack. Within a split second, she kicked him like horse. Hard. With her big stripper shoes. He flew backwards a dozen feet and crashed into some bar stools, knocking one over. It was hilarious, actually.

Then the owner (Scott) came over and dragged the guy out the front door. Lots of banging and bumping along the way. The guy had a couple friends with him and they just sat there, stunned. Scott came up to them and told them to get out and take care of their friend. Off they went.

@Shailynn- the pimp/dealer wannabees are the reason I don't club on weekends. Loudmouth little punks would rather get some shit started and fight than see some tits and ass and relax. Weekdays it's mostly older guys there to see the girls and have a few drinks

Have never had the pleasure of witnessing or being in a fight at a SC, luckily.

Like someone else said, I've seen FAR more fights or pushing matches at NFL football games or in the parking lots of football games. It's not even close

Pussy must make everyone chill out in the clubs I go to. lol.

I missed it but apparently some guys wife came into a strip, found her husband sitting watching the strippers, picked up a beer bottle off a table and smacked it on his head. I just saw him lying flat on the floor and she was gone. They called paramedics.

I once got cut during a lap dance. I noticed the blood running down my leg. Another time while tipping at a side stage, a stripper ducked down on he stage and then popped up super fast when I was looking elsewhere and her head popped me right on the nose. That was the worst bloody nose I ever had. I left after I got the bleeding to stop.

I've seen a couple of fights, one out in a parking lot. I saw a drunk female get topless and walk around a club like a chicken being chased by all the bouncers. she had gone up on stage by herself and was walking all over the club like she owned it.

I have seen a number of vehicles get vandalized on a few different occasions or rather saw that they had been vandalized. I'm ok with the death penalty for anyone vandalizing cars. Well maybe torture first, then execution. hit and run drivers that were an accident, huge fines but nothing more unless it was intentional.

I avoid clubs that I hear about having constant fights and people getting routinely kicked out. I think most of those were regular bars. I once heard about a club that if they had a night where there wasn't a knock down drag out fight, it was a slow night.

I've seen a few stripper-on-stripper fights, including one where multiple girls were involved on each side (two little cliques of 3-4 girls each), it took the two huge bouncers a pretty long time to break those girls up. Predictably, that was in a ghetto-y dive bar.

I've seen bouncers and customers go at it a few times

ALL the male-on-male fights were on night shifts. Never saw one on a dayshift.

Stripper-on-stripper fights happen any and all times of day/night, but worse on night shift
