Starting a new topic apparently doesn't count toward your post count, so a brief look at back at my time on TUSCL and the changes in strip club during that time follows.
It's interesting to look back at the past years in the strip club world and on TUSCL as I make my 10,000th post.
I started here in August, 2008 just as the world was accelerating its descent into the global financial crisis.
The strip club world had reached a turning point around 2006 locally. Before that time it seemed that strippers had the upper hand in the SC world. There was, of course, an enormous stock market boom around 2000. Talking to girls who worked around that time even the very blah looking ones were easily raking in six figure salaries ($200,000 seems to have been "easy money" for them if they are to believed) from PLs flush with market gains and huge 401ks. The bubble would burst, but quickly be re-inflated by loose monetary policy and subprime credit. It was credit guys were wasting in all areas of life including, most definitely, strip clubs. Easy marks for strippers. Girls seriously demanding $3000/night for OTC. But as early as 2006 it appears that the easiest of marks had already been sucked dry of their cash. A new, savvier customer was now the norm. Oxycontin was also coming into fashion around this time. A very expensive addiction indeed. Even if girls weren't doing it themselves the pressure was on them to compete with others that were.
In mid 2007 the stock market would peak shortly after the housing market had. Cultural changes were also in the air. Hip-hop growing increasingly popular, so much so that many of songs would soon just be labelled "pop". It was a hip-hop cultural that glamorized pimping and whoring lowering the bar for girls to do such.
A new generation was beginning to fill the rank of strippers. They came onto the scene after having been raised on the internet and by parents who themselves grew up in sexually liberal times. To them sex, even for money, was no big deal. "It's just sex" as one of them put it.
A permanent change had occurred. But not everyone realized it.
Around this time Dougster, who was well in tune with the changes appeared on the TUSCL and, initially, had to confront various faggots and idiots who have not yet grasped the changes and were living in the past. Many were still trying to play the "good guy", respecter of "dancers" (since "stripper" is such a prerogative term, let's not use it).
TUSCL was basically a circle jerk of guys trying to prove to prove to each other who was the greatest respecter of women. Many claimed that they didn't even want extras when they went to strip clubs. It wasn't about that. Other stupid notion about what strip clubs were like abounded. Strippers are very selective about who they have paid sex with and, if they do it at all, it is not very often and, then, only with guys who are gentlemen. And, unlike themselves, of course, very few customers, indeed, were gentlemen. OTC/ITC, essentially, was nearly equivalent in difficulty to picking up a comparable looking chick in a night club. Such were the notions of the time.
In my first year or so, there are many flame wars with the faggots and idiots espousing these beliefs:

MisterGay (if there was a vote he would get the lowest % of people who liked him. Being a liberal on a board of Libertarians or near Libertarians did not help.)
txtittyfan (the biggest idiot/lying POS in the history of TUSCL. Classic moment - his call to short treasuries the day before they bottomed in 2009.)
During my first days here I was mocked for using the phrase "lying, thieving whores" to describe strippers. As time went on, however, it would grow to be a non-controversial, widely accepted description of strippers in general. Boom! Dougster wins again! Sure not all the words, other than "whore", apply to every single one of them, but it's a good overall description.
I can't remember the exact date but around late 2009 or early 2010 I would have my first tangle with rickdugan. A completely hilarious character who thought he was a genius for inventing a system to pay hookers who happened to work in strip clubs for sex. Still to, this day, he will not admit that a stripper who has sex with a customer for money can be described as a "whore" or as a "hooker". In his mind they are too selective to deserve that term.
The key to RickyBoy's System, you see, was to be the only one wearing a suit in a dive club. And it should be a dive club, because in higher end clubs other guys might be wearing suits and it hard was to stand up to that kind of competition. RickyBoy was clearly a guy truly suffering from brain damage due to oxygen depravation from having his head buried so far up his ass. As I endlessly trounced him in discussion after discussion, he would just keep coming back for more. And, because he had 10 peoples worth of egos crammed into his one puny little head it was great fun. Felt like trouncing 10 guys for the price of one!
As time went on though and board members were realizing what the SC culture had become, my views were becoming less and less controversial. Becoming mainstream in fact.
Did you need to be a "nice guy" to do OTC with strippers? No! Boom! Dougster wins again!
Did it make any difference how you dressed? No! Boom! Dougster wins again!
At this point it was looking like TUSCL might become forever boring. Everyone realized the deal with the SC and there would be no dissension in the ranks. But new developments were underway!
juicebox69 burst onto TUSCL and quickly dominated the board with his outrageous antics. rickdugan, rather than just admit that he had been clueless all along, dug in and insisted on continuing the fight.
alucard also decided to pick up his posting activity around this time. This guy was a true glutton for punishment, but, somehow, managed to have some supporters, which just served to keep him going.
juicebox was easily the most dominant character on the board for some time via the outrageous rate at which he posted and using as many different amusing characters as he did.
For some reason many trolls were attracted to the board such that late 2012-2013 would be the best times for those on TUSCL, like me, who appreciate trolls and flame wars and general chaos.
But now, as we are well into 2014 things appear to be well past the inflection point. txtittyfan and alucard seem to be gone joining parodyman--> and MisterGay on the rubbish heap of history (Boom! Dougster wins again!) My views on SC's are just accepted now and hardly seem to be up for much debate. Boom! Dougster wins again! Even rickdugan generally takes quite a bit of prodding before he will defend his old ridiculous ideas now and will hardly ever pro-actively state his stupid beliefs or start anything. Boom! Dougster wins again! juicebox69 seems to have settled down to only making a reasonable number of posts and just generally having this board as a lower priority. It was good times while it lasted!
So what of the future of the board? New trolls will still show up on the scene but their half lives are getting shorter. Will anything ever top the days like late 2012 through 2013? Doubtful.
Maybe we will just all agree about the general nature of things in SC now. Everyone gets OTC and whatever else they want from strippers so readily and realizes that everyone else is doing the same thing that there is nothing to debate about. Maybe our disagreements have to migrate into non-strip club related things. Like the political battles around 2009.
Or maybe jerikson40 or someone else can serve to be TUSCL's newest lightning rod! Only time will tell.

Hmmm... jestie is a strange one. Admits that he is not interested in going to SCs for paid OTC or even to met the girls OTC unpaid. Only "occasionally" gets extras. Seems very hung up one what other guys look like. Knows alot about Abercrombie and Fitch. Clearly a homo!

He seems to remain mostly agnostic on what goes on wrt to ITC and OTC because I guess he just goes in there to talk the girls about shoes and how much the world sucks I guess. So he doesn't have that many views on strip clubs. Doesn't seem to be his primary reason for being here. Seems more like he is trying to work out some childhood issues due to inconsistent parenting he received and this is displacement for him.
For that reason, his very obvious depression, the fact that he appears to have been born with one millionth of the sense of humor of a normal person and the fact that he may be young enough to get his act in order, he is more tragic than comical like the others.
I get the feeling that he is just a big negative drain on everyone around him and this carries over even OTI.
