SPRINGFIELD -- Police said they arrested two Springfield women early Monday who allegedly stole a car and wallet from a 35-year-old New Hampshire man they met at a South Hadley strip club.
Sgt. John M. Delaney said the victim met the women at the South Hadley club and brought them back to his hotel room in Chicopee.
“He got more then he bargained for because [the women] stole his wallet and car keys from the room and then stole his 2012 black Honda CR-Z with Vermont plates,†Delaney said.
The victim, who is from Keene, N.H., called Chicopee police to report the larceny. Chicopee police issued a lookout to officers in surrounding communities.
At about 3 a.m., Springfield officers Patrick Haggerty and Clay Canning spotted the stolen car traveling near the intersection of Bowdoin and Magazine streets.
The officers arrested the two occupants and found the victim's wallet containing his license and credit cards. Chicopee police responded with the victim and he positively identified the suspects, Delaney said.
Joyce Y. Ingram, 21, of 30 Gordon St.; and Krystal R. McDonald, 20, of 72 Lionel Benoit Road, were charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and larceny from a person.
McDonald was also charged with driving without a license.
Delaney said the police report describes the women as "strippers" but does not indicate where they worked, or if they had been working that night.
The report also did not name the club where the victim met the suspects; Anthony's Gentlemen's Club, located on New Ludlow Road, is the town's only club featuring nude dancing.
