IME: 2fers are PITA item, not a bargain, because 1) Songs are often clipped, you're getting 1.5 fer at best. 2) They break the flow of things. 3) They smack too strongly of Kmart Blue Light Special-ism, thus f-ing up fantasy element. Personally, prefer multiple dance discount eg, if regular dance price is $20 , get 3 for $50, etc. Grocery stores, and other businesses give larger volume per oz discounts on larger qtys. SC's should do likewise!!

I also prefer the bulk discount to the 2-fer. Shadowcat nails one reason, everyone waits for the 2-fer, and minnow nails the other, it makes you seem cheap. Even if you are, you don't want to give a dancer the impression you're cheap.
2fers cause dancers to beg harder for tips. No bargain if you cave in to the whining.
My point isn't about image, its about whether or not 2fer adds value or enjoyment for SC customer. IMO, marginal value add on at best, for enjoyment element, often interrupts flow of things. DV & SR chains most annoying purveyors of 2fers. Clubs offering or encouraging volume discounts are deplorably few, unless you count certain VIP rooms. For regular dances (2-5), only Mons Venus comes to mind for offering volume discounts.
