Gatineau police raid strip club, home in drug investigation

OTTAWA — An eight-month drug investigation in Gatineau culminated Thursday with the arrest of three people and the seizure of almost 300 grams of cocaine and $14,000 cash.

Gatineau police said they executed two search warrants at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The first search was at the Cabaret Le Pink strip club on Aylmer Road.

The second search was at a home on Blue Ravine Street.

Police seized 54 grams of marijuana, almost 300 grams of cocaine, $14,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia, a Taser and a bullet proof vest.

A 2012 Dodge Ram and a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac were also seized.

Police said two men, both aged 47, and a 22-year-old woman were arrested and face charges of drug trafficking, drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and laundering the proceeds of crime.

The names of the accused have not been released. They are scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
