Route 1 Club for Sale for ‘Negotiable' Price
Jul 27, 2011
If you were wondering about the buzz recently, yes, the Cabaret Lounge on Route 1 is up for sale. City officials say it has been for a while.
The Peabody strip club was featured recently in the Boston Herald column “Inside Track,†in which the authors caught up with real estate broker Joel Miller. The club will also be featured again in the Adam Sandler comedy next year “I Hate You, Dad.†Sandler and company spent a week filming at the Cabaret, or rather “Classy Rick's Bacon & Leggs,†as it's named in the movie.
Miller told the Herald that owner Frank Green is hoping to retire and looking to sell for a “negotiable†price, although Miller declined to put an exact figure on the number.
The sale would include the building at 96 Newbury St., the 1.25 acres it sits on and entertainment and liquor licenses. The club seats 250. You can find the property listing here.
According to Miller, a buyer would also be asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement.
“Over forty years of profitable business providing adult entertainment to the Greater Boston area. A proven business, a rare opportunity, a business that is only limited by your own imagination,†reads the online listing.
According to city records, the property is worth just shy of $1 million.

Not a bad idea, Alucard. Boston in the winter would almost be tropical.
I've thought about what it would be like to own one if I had the cash, but I think it would be too much of a pain in the ass.
The reviews indicate that it's a "no contact" club. Why would I want that?
I would need to stop clubbing to save up that kind of money !! Na I choose ass over cash
If it is truly an "Air Dance" place then NO ass juicebox69.
