Christmas Day tryst prompts Kingsport assault, prostitution arrests

A Kingsport man, 76, was arrested Christmas Day after allegedly arranging to meet a prostitute, paying $20 for sexual acts he received, then claiming he was "robbed" and holding the facilitator of the encounter at gunpoint before police.

Two women were also arrested in the incident, charged with prostitution and promoting prostitution.

According to arrest reports at the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, at 1:05 Saturday morning police were called to 201 Gale Ave., Kingsport. When a deputy arrived and exited his cruiser, a man allegedly exited the home holding a woman at gunpoint.

The officer reports drawing his weapon and ordering the man to drop his gun. The suspect complied, laid himself face down on the ground, and was taken into custody without further incident.

Police identify the man as Everett Cline, 76, of the residence. The woman held at gunpoint is identified as Kimberly Crouch, AKA Kimberly McCloud, 44, of 800 Burwind Court, apartment 11, Kingsport. She was accompanied at Cline's residence by another female, with police handcuffing each of them for officer safety.

Crouch told police Cline had called her on the phone, "wanting a black prostitute." She later arrived at his residence with Angelia Dillihunt, 44, of 801 Dale St., Kingsport.

According to the police report, Dillihunt told officers Cline gave her $20 for sex. After the encounter Dillihunt went to use a restroom, later exiting to find Cline holding a gun to Crouch, "saying that she robbed him."

Dillihunt then ran from the residence, with police arriving shortly thereafter. The report does not identify who called police to report a disturbance.

Each of the three individuals were arrested. Cline was charged with aggravated assault and patronizing prostitution, McCloud was charged with patronizing prostitution, while Dillihunt was charged with prostitution.
